THE CRMC is entering a new and exciting phase with a planned new recruitment.
The charity is advertising for a Communications Officer to develop internal and external communications to raise its profile locally and nationally.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced PR professional and/or a trained journalist who will know how to use all media, traditional and new, to spread the word about all the great work being done by the CRMC staff and volunteers.
He or she will promote the aims and objectives of the charity, and foster closer working relationships with key stakeholders, and Coventry’s communities. The role will also include helping with research and social policy work, and producing subsequent reports.
The full-time role is expected to run for two years and is being funded by Global Dialogue, a London-based national charity which supports human rights and social change. The Communications Officer will also work with Global Dialogue, which will further boost the profile of the CRMC.
Sabir Zazai, CRMC Director, said: “This is a really exciting development for us. To get the funding in the first place shows how what we do here in Coventry, is seen as valuable by other, much bigger, organisations.
“This is really a tribute to the great work being done by our staff and volunteers. And what we do to make newcomers feel welcome in Coventry, and to help with the vital process of integration, can lead the way for others.
“Our new colleague will enhance even further Coventry’s national reputation as the city of peace and reconciliation.”
