Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre (CRMC) is the only organization in Coventry dedicated to providing impartial and confidential advice, guidance and support to asylum seekers, refugees and migrants living in and around the city. We are a medium-sized local organization that has hosted refugees and migrants since 2000. Our goal is to help people rebuild their lives and reach their full potential in security and dignity, while supporting integration and fostering active citizenship. Very interesting vacancy for a social worker in the VOLUNTEER counselling team for our CRMC.CRMC offers a free counselling service to refugees and migrants in the Coventry area. Volunteers will support CRMC to provide a delivery service to provide advice and advocacy to clients in areas such as benefits, immigration access to local support and services, employment, health and many more. Volunteers work closely with CRMC core workers to provide a welcoming and friendly service to help refugees and migrants receive appropriate and impartial support with anything they may need. The role will be based at Coventry Migrant and Refugee Centre, Norton House, Coventry CV1 5FX. For more information and an expression of interest form, please see the attached file.
